Chapter 1 details my comparison between two theories of classroom management, explains my code of ethics, describes my personal philosophy, and touches upon essential decisions I will have to make as a teacher. Further, Chapter 2 focuses on my actual plan, illustrating my ideal classroom layout, my future rules, guidelines, expectations, and procedures. Additionally, Chapter 2 will address consequences, community aspects, and future tools I will use to maintain the kind of classroom I want. Throughout my time in Managing the Learning Environment, a course taught by Professor James Hicks, I learned about management theories and techniques and about how to make my future classroom safe and engaging for students. From taking this course, I compiled information to put in this portfolio and found that I identified with aspects of both management theories we discussed.
